Katakhali Swapnopuron Welfare Society (KSWS) is a non-profit organization focused on fostering holistic development in the Sundarbans region of West Bengal, India. Its mission includes promoting education, child protection, adolescent health awareness, and women’s empowerment, aiming to catalyze positive transformation within the community.

Our Work
In the enchanting yet formidable expanse of the Sunderbans, where the tangled mangrove forests weave a tapestry of challenges, the pursuit of quality education seemed like an unattainable dream. Swapnopuron, however, defied the odds and turned the impossible into reality. Venturing courageously into the remotest reaches of the Sunderbans, Swapnopuron emerged as a transformative force, unlocking the doors to education in areas where such opportunities were once scarce.
From its modest beginnings with just 25 students in 2012, Swapnopuron has blossomed into an institution with over 850 active students and 36 dedicated teachers by the year 2023.
