Mental Health and Wellbeing

Education Goes Beyond Academics.

At Swapnopuron Shiksha Niketan, our School Counselling & Mental Wellness Programme provides structured mental health, behavioural, and academic support to students across our schools and surrounding communities.

Through individual counselling, group interventions, awareness workshops, and family engagement, we are creating safer spaces where children can learn, heal, and grow.

Family Conflict & Migration Stress

Family instability and migration-related stress impact childrenโ€™s emotional wellbeing and school attendance.

Academic Pressure & Exam Anxiety

Growing academic demands create stress and anxiety that hinder learning and performance.

Phone & Internet Addiction

Digital addiction disrupts focus, sleep, and healthy social development in children.

Bullying & Peer Conflict

Unresolved peer conflicts and bullying damage childrenโ€™s confidence and sense of safety.

Abuse & Child Protection Risks

Children face risks of abuse and exploitation requiring safe and sensitive professional support.

Learning Difficulties & Disabilities

Undiagnosed learning disabilities prevent children from accessing their full potential.

Gender Discrimination & Social Stigma

Workshop Topics

Partner Organisations

These sessions were conducted in collaboration with:

Support for Children with Special Needs

We conducted assessment camps to identify children with special needs and disabilities requiring additional support.

Parent Engagement

Strong family support improves student wellbeing. Our programme works with parents through structured sessions.

Parents are actively involved in intervention plans and follow-up support.

Teacher Capacity Building

Teachers play a critical role in identifying children who need support. We train educators with the tools they need.

Teachers are also supported with individual intervention plans for students requiring additional care.

The Challenge We're Responding To

Rise in Behavioural & Mental Health Issues

0 %

There has been a 70% rise in behavioural issues, mental health concerns, and disabilities among students in the last academic year. This highlights the urgent need for stronger school-based mental health systems in rural communities.

โ€œAt Swapnopuron, we believe every child deserves not just educationโ€”but emotional safety, dignity, and support.โ€

By integrating counselling into our school ecosystem, we are helping children build resilience, improve academic focus, and develop healthier futures.
